Laura Evans contributes to HR Magazine on the role of AI in HR

CEO, Laura Evans, was asked to contribute to this article in HR Magazine on the role of AI in HR.

As a progressive business, Glass Ceilings® is embracing new forms of technology and very interested in how things like AI and AR (Augmented Reality) will transform organisational development and training, both for us internally and for the businesses we advise. AI itself can save time and money, which is essential to business growth.

Laura’s full and considered position is here:

“AI is transformative, with huge potential to improve operational performance and profits by streamlining systems and reducing administrative time. However, as with any new technology, some aspects should be approached with more caution and appropriate safeguards in place.

As a business, we have developed innovative approaches to people and culture transformation, and we generate all our own content. I therefore continue to take seriously, and seek legal advice on, protecting our IP and thought-leadership pieces from others who may use AI tools like Chat GPT to source and generate content which they repurpose for themselves.

Given the sensitive nature of HR work we undertake with businesses, and our personal development services like coaching, I am also very cautious about where conversations are recorded and stored. Similarly in business development conversations. In online meetings where we are discussing personal or commercially sensitive data, we will not use any external AI tools to transcribe meetings and we ask others to switch off theirs before starting a conversation.”
