Our CEO, Laura Evans, was a member of the Working Party and contributed her experience and expertise to theEmployment Lawyers Association (ELA)’s response to ‘Equality Law: Call for evidence’.
Laura specifically contributed on the areas of:
• Combined (Intersectional) Discrimination
• Sexual Harassment
• The Socio-economic Duty
• The Public Sector Equality Duty (PSED)
This represented a full circle moment in Laura’s career. 18 years ago, she led several policy workstreams implementing the Equality Act 2006 alongside the Macpherson Report recommendations and launching Hate Crime legislation at the Home Office. She went on to work on developing what became the Equality Act 2010, which was the subject of this consultation.
