Today (19th November) marks the end of Transgender Awareness Week ahead of Transgender Day of Remembrance tomorrow (20th November).
As a progressive organisation whose purpose is Influencing Change for Work-Life Inclusion, Glass Ceilings Change Management is proud to stand in allyship with transgender people and communities through all of our work, particularly during a concerning period where trans and non-binary people are facing hate speech, segregation, and exclusion on a daily basis.
Our CEO, Laura Evans, worked on development and implementation of equalities legislation and hate crime initiatives in policy roles early in her early career. In 2010, she was presented with an award for her work supporting the trans community and in tackling transphobia. Laura has been shocked and dismayed to see decades of progress quickly going backwards this year.
We will continue to advise organisations on doing the right thing and not discriminating against, harassing, or segregating any transgender colleagues, customers, or clients.
