It is International Workers’ Memorial Day today – a time to reflect on those who have lost their lives, been injured, or made disabled through work activity around the globe. Nobody should face unsafe work practices.

“When I worked for the Health and Safety Executive, I had the privilege of attending the minute’s silence and laying of a wreath at the memorial statue in the gardens each year. To this day, I still hold a minute’s silence on this day in remembrance.”
