Today is International Workers’ Memorial Day, a day to pause and reflect on those who have lost their lives, been injured, or made disabled through work activity. Nobody should be injured, or worse, whilst working.
During 6 years working at the Health and Safety Executive, I would attend the minute’s silence and laying of a wreath at the memorial statue in the gardens each year on International Workers’ Memorial Day.
To this day, I still hold a minute’s silence on this day in remembrance, and will be doing so again this year.
