Announcement – CEO, Laura Evans, joins Long Covid Support Advisory Board
We are thrilled to announce that our CEO, Laura Evans, has joined the Advisory Board of the charity Long Covid Support as an Employment Advisor.
Laura will be providing specialist advice on policy, employment law and the Equality Act, and work and benefits, as well as the impact on employment and the labour market caused by delays and lack of understanding within health and social care.
Laura said: “People living with Long Covid continue to experience unacceptable prejudice and discrimination in employment – affecting their livelihoods and quality of life beyond just the effects of learning to live with a debilitating multi-systemic illness. This amazing charity was set up by people with lived experience early in the pandemic, and has been supporting people ever since. It’s a privilege to be involved.”
On announcing the appointment, Long Covid Support said: “We are incredibly pleased and grateful that Laura Evans has joined our Advisory Board. Laura’s knowledge and advice will be of great benefit to our charity.”
