I didn’t see the game live but was appalled to hear yesterday that footballers were booed whilst breaking their fast during Ramadan in the Leeds vs Manchester City game on Saturday night. The rise in these sorts of incidents remains concerning.
Taking a pause to enable players to break fasting during Ramadan should serve to increase awareness, understanding, and respect for religious beliefs and practices.
